On the occasion of leaving the old year and ushering in the new, in order to let students feel the charm of Chinese culture, the Chinese group of Grade 9 in the west campus of Anqing Foreign Language School held a knowledge competition with the theme of ‘Welcome the New Year and Inherit Culture’ on the morning of December 20th. This competition is based on the class as a unit with all members  participating, the contents of which are based on the common sense of traditional Chinese culture, including the common sense of Sinology, famous works, schools of literature and so on. In addition, the competition is featured in flexible test questions, extensive contents, novel topics and comprehensive subjects.
During the competition, the students meticulously answered questions with neat writing, used their own strength to verify their level of Chinese knowledge, and strove to showcase their elegant demeanour in the competition, which added a joyous color to the upcoming New Year.
In summary, this activity has come to a successful end, which not only stimulates students' interest in learning, broadens their horizons so that the students' interest in learning Chinese has been greatly improved, but also lets the students' hearts feel the extensive and profound traditional culture. Thus, the informative event is a way for teenagers to grow up with traditional culture.
